We’ve now submitted our planning application to Ashford Borough Council, which you can view on the Council’s planning register under reference PA/2025/1201. Thank you to everyone who shared feedback at the public exhibition and during the consultation. We’ve listened carefully and made a number of changes to improve the proposal. The key updates are outlined below:

The updated proposal now features a one-way traffic system, designed to be less disruptive by dividing vehicle movements into two separate flows.

Introducing Pond Wood Solar

Welcome to Pond Wood Solar! This is a proposed solar project near Appledore Road, west of Kenardington, TN26 2NB. The site is located in the Borough of Ashford.

This site will generate enough renewable energy to power the equivalent of 10,605 homes each year. The proposed solar farm will have a capacity of 35MW.

The location was carefully chosen. It is well screened by existing woodland, hedgerows and individual trees and does not fall within any statutory landscape designations, making it a great spot for a solar farm.
